Abstract
⺠The propagation of electro-elastic waves in dielectric elastomer layers is determined. ⺠Dispersion relation between wave speed and length in term of bias fields is derived. ⺠Analysis of the dispersion relation reveals how the bias field influences waves speed. ⺠Certain bias field result in annihilation of the wave speeds for certain wavelengths. ⺠The results hint at the ability of constructing isolators with dielectric elastomers.
