Abstract
												⺠The manager her/himself is the primary source of managerial discretion. ⺠Managerial attention and awareness are crucial in explaining managerial discretion. ⺠Managerial discretion is substantially affected by personal, relational, and situational factors, all of which affect a manager's allocation of attention over time.
