Abstract
⺠Scattering by a spheroid with a rotationally uniaxial spherical core is modeled. ⺠An analytic solution is constructed for the incident on-axis Gaussian beam. ⺠The anisotropy of a spherical inclusion can significantly reduce the backscattering.
