Abstract
Social cohesion has become a defining key element of multidimensional poverty, which would indicate de facto that both concepts are associated, in the sense that an increase of social cohesion would imply a poverty reduction. Thus, correlation levels are analyzed between different approaches of social cohesion and poverty levels, marginalization and inequality in the municipalities of Chiapas, at 2010. The results show that higher levels of poverty and social cohesion are concentrated especially in the jungle region of the state.
