Abstract
The need for WEF Nexus role recasting and implementing a new economic platform is based on two realistic premises. First, as this mission is based on technical changes and financing procured by non-state actors, WEF will have to become an actor for reasons of empowerment equitability. Second, instead of been trapped in the dilemma of either continuing to operate in a business-as-usual manner using the Dasgupta-Heal-Solow-Stiglitz (DHSS) economic model, which leads to a catastrophe, or its opposite, the inapplicable Daly and Georgescu-Roegen entropic natural capital model and its hybrids, a proprietary customized modified Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) platform must be employed. The reassessment in this paper not only establishes the existence of the WEF Nexus approach in a more concrete way but includes proposals both for holistic and increased internal structure and for a set of rules which, by recasting the current role into that of an actor with an CGE platform, promote the increased success of any solutions which will be attempted.
