Abstract
The present study proposes the use of a TiO2 nanotube array sensor for detecting chloroform at room temperature. Highly ordered TiO2 nanotubes were synthesized by using electrochemical anodization process. The sensor response toward chloroform was tested, and the results show that the TiO2 nanotube sensor array has good response and the sensor is able to desorb attached species very efficiently, and yield very promising results. Finally, the mechanism of chloroform sensing is discussed.
