Abstract
Manganese supported on an organo-modified SiO2/Al2O3 framework is used as a novel mediator for the selective voltammetric determination of captopril (CAP) in real samples such as drugs and urine. The redox response and electrocatalytic activity of the sensor were studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV), double-step potential chronoamperometry (CA) and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) methods. Under optimal conditions (pH 6.0), the LSV anodic peak currents show a linear relationship with respect to CAP concentration in the range 3.0 × 10−7–300 × 10−4 mol/dm3, with a detection limit of 9.0 × 10−8 mol/dm3.
