Abstract
⺠We analyse the impacts of policy harmonisation in the field of renewable heating within the EU. ⺠The effect of a harmonised use obligation for renewable heating is quantified. ⺠A harmonised best practice design can lead to reduced generation costs. ⺠Guarantees of origin could serve as an element for a use obligation with compensation options.
