Abstract
⺠Growth of electricity loads driven by electrification of transport and heat will be significant. ⺠It will increase the electricity peak demand up to 2-3 times and cost tens of billion pounds if we maintain Business as Usual approach. ⺠A coordinated application of smart demand technologies can significantly reduce this cost. ⺠It requires sets of policies and regulations to facilitate timely deployment of such technologies.
