Abstract
⺠We provide information of water supply and use in the coal industry in China. ⺠We analyze scenarios of water use in China's coal industry between 2020 and 2030. ⺠Water issues are becoming severe constrains for the coal industry in China. ⺠The water demand in the coal industry could exceed China's water supply capacity. ⺠Coal-fired power generation has great potential for water savings.
