Abstract
⺠Investments in heat pumps and pellet stoves were subsidized over a public programme. ⺠Heat pumps showed a strong economic return, pellet stoves performed much more poorly. ⺠This difference in economic return does not influence the investment satisfaction. ⺠Technical quality, indoor climate and heat comfort are important benefits. ⺠Service availability and electricity price also influence satisfaction.
