⺠Effective energy conservation and efficiency depend on social systems and human behaviors. ⺠Science laboratories use more energy per square foot than any other academic and research spaces. ⺠Time, money, quality control, and convenience overshadow personnel's desire to save energy. ⺠Ignorance of conservation practices is a barrier to energy conservation in labs.
