Abstract
⺠Examines US cities use of renewable electricity (RE) to power government operations. ⺠Estimates the aggregate impact this has on GHG emissions. ⺠City governments' RE use roughly estimated to abate 6.2 million tonnes CO2e annually. ⺠This is 20% of the potential achievable if only RE is used in government operations. ⺠Direct impact is negligible in context of total US emissions; indirect may be larger.
