Abstract
⺠We study the impact on the Italian electricity market of introducing market coupling. ⺠We estimate welfare benefits under two market scenarios for 2012. ⺠Scenarios are simulated using the optimal dispatch model ELFO++. ⺠Welfare gains range between 33 Mâ¬/year and 741 Mâ¬/year.
