Abstract
⺠We investigated consumer responses to energy efficiency incentives. ⺠These included tax credits and interest-free loans for six types of energy products. ⺠We found that tax credits are more effective than interest-free loans. ⺠The current tax credit rates are insufficient for expensive products (e.g., solar panels). ⺠A higher amount of incentives is required for the lower-income (<$50 K/yr) households.
