Abstract
⺠The paper analyzes the impact of all major demand and cost shifters that contribute to regional gasoline price formation. ⺠It shows that the relatively uniform regional gasoline prices persist after the Spanish gasoline market has been liberalized. ⺠It shows that regional tax changes are fully passed on to regional gasoline prices. ⺠It also shows that gasoline spot price changes are fully passed on to consumer prices.
