Abstract
⺠We discuss the history of coal and electricity pricing reforms. ⺠The roots of conflicts between electricity and coal firms are presented. ⺠We conduct a theoretical analysis of relational contracting. ⺠The role of mine-mouth power plants on the performance of power firms is examined.
