Abstract
⺠We simulate 100% renewable electricity in the Australian National Electricity Market. ⺠The energy system comprises commercially available technologies. ⺠A range of 100% renewable electricity systems meet the reliability standard. ⺠Principal challenge is meeting peak demand on winter evenings. ⺠The concept of 'base-load' power plants is found to be redundant.
