Abstract
⺠This paper examined the electricity demand in Tunisia in the long-run. ⺠The empirical analysis revealed that in the long-run the electricity demand is affected by changes in its past value, GDP in constant price and real electricity price. ⺠There is a unidirectional relationship between price and electricity consumption, that is to say, that the electricity price causes the consumption. ⺠Those results suggest that a pricing policy can be an effective instrument to rationalize the electricity consumption in Tunisia in the long-run.
