Abstract
⺠Nonrenewable energy (NE) cost is conservatively accounted for corn-ethanol in China. ⺠Corn cultivation, ethanol conversion and wastewater treatment are included. ⺠NE cost is estimated as 1.70 times that of the ethanol energy produced. ⺠Corn-ethanol processes in China are mostly a conversion of coal to ethanol.
