Abstract
⺠This paper considers the use of the critical wind speed when assessing noise impacts from wind farms. ⺠It was found that the critical wind speed could vary depending on the time of the day. ⺠The critical wind speed was found to be a non-transferable value. ⺠Noise assessments for wind farms should be developed over a range of critical wind speeds.
