Abstract
⺠Field trials show statistically significant rice yield increases using rice husk char (RHC). ⺠Carbon abatement of 0.42 t CO2 tâ1 rice husk from RHC production. ⺠Bioenergy generation via gasification gives carbon abatement of 0.44 t CO2 tâ1 husk. ⺠Total carbon abatement is therefore ca. 0.86 t CO2 tâ1 husk. ⺠Agronomic value from trials is $3 tâ1 char; assuming $5 CO2 tâ1, the total value of RHC is $9-$15 tâ1.
