Abstract
ⶠWe model how knowledge, attitudes, and past purchase affect CFL adoption. ⶠSaint Lucian consumers have some knowledge of and favorable attitudes toward CFLs. ⶠEnergy efficiency knowledge increases stated willingness-to-pay (WTP) for CFLs. ⶠPast purchase does not increase WTP; low-quality 'lemons' may influence consumers. ⶠPolicy can lower consumer risks in lighting markets where low quality bulbs exist.
