Abstract
⺠Wholesale electricity market trading benefits by wind power are quantified. ⺠Actual wind power forecast-based bids and electricity price data from Spain are used. ⺠Different econometric tools are used and compared for improved estimation accuracy. ⺠Estimated benefits outweigh current credit overhead paid to wind farms in Spain. ⺠An economically efficient benefit surplus allocation framework is proposed.
