Abstract
- Scholars have made a number of contributions to social impact research but lack a framework to situate these contributions within a broader research conversation.
- Impact is the endpoint of a casual chain where organizations acquire resources, transform these into activities, and create outputs that impact society.
- Studies have focused on inputs, activities, and the institutional environment for prosocial entrepreneurship. There is little understanding of outcomes and societal impacts.
- Research on prosocial entrepreneurship welcomes positivist, interpretativist, critical and systemic exploration of entrepreneurial energy, tensions, and change.
