Abstract
The world energy scene in recent years has been undergoing a process of change due to rising fossil fuel prices and environmental impacts, prompting numerous studies and investments in wind energy. Thereto, the state of Rio Grande do Norte has received several investments with the construction of new wind farms in the region in view of it has the greatest wind potential of Brazil, which in turn has boosted the industry with specific policies to renewable energy production. Accordingly, the following article aims to develop a model for pricing of wind energy in the state of Rio Grande do Norte within the process of energetic management of this sustainability. In theoretical and empirical format through an exploratory and explanatory methodology, were found results that show and define the main variables that affect the price of wind energy, which are: the equipment costs, government incentives and the Brazilian format of competitiveness in auctions of electricity system.
