Abstract

The paper describes an application of a new architecture of versatile miniaturized system with dual optical detection. The microsystem was designed especially for measurement of uric acid concentration in biological samples with the use of different optical detection methods: spectrophotometric and fluorescence as well. Its construction is based on modules that were made of a transparent polymer poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS). Simple measurements’ procedure and possibility of results’ comparison obtained in different methods are advantages of the developed system. Such a system with dual detection allows to determine influence of disturbing substances which are present in real samples thanks to comparing the results of two different analytical methods.
