Abstract
This paper describes the application of semi-conducting polyaniline doped with Fe–Al vacuum deposited thin film as a sensor for the determination of Escherichia coli (E. coli) cells in the liquid medium. The presence of E. coli as a bacterial contamination in water was detected based on a change in conductivity due to redox reaction at the film surface.
