Abstract
The poly-vinyl-pyrrolidone (PVP) fibers were prepared by electrospinning of PVP aqueous solution and the PVP fibers/36° LiTaO3 surface acoustic wave (SAW) sensor was successfully developed. The effects of the concentration of PVP solution and electrode-to-collector distance on the morphology of the electrospun PVP fibers were investigated and the H2 sensing properties of the SAW sensor were tested. The electrode-to-collector distance significantly affected the density of PVP fibers and the smooth and uniform fibers were obtained when the concentration of PVP solution was 58%. The developed SAW sensors show large response to H2 at room temperature.
