Abstract
Enantiopure sulfoxides prepared via biooxidation with engineered yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) and E. coli overexpressing enzyme cyclohexanone monooxygenase (CHMO) were used as chiral liners for mesoporous silica SBA-15. The protocols for attachment of these chiral groups to the cavities of the silicates are described. The SBA-15 with grafted chiral sulfoxide was evaluated as a solid catalyst for asymmetric allylation.
