Abstract
IMD manufacturers had a broad definition of PCs, making frequent use of “generic” PCs. When present, PCs were usually not well indicated. Manufacturers' practices do not yet seem to be suited to systematic use of PCs by health-care establishments, awaiting their being made mandatory.
