Abstract
Precision medicine has an increasing importance in therapeutic management of oncology patients. Many genes or the entire genome can be analyzed using next generation sequencing even when small biopsy samples are available allowing large molecular characterization of tumor tissues. In this article, we highlight the impact of tumor molecular testing in patient care, and show that limits become blurred between somatic and germline analysis, rising ethical questions.
