Abstract
⺠The Field equations in general relativity are analyzed for symmetries. ⺠The symmetry reduction method is applied to investigate the symmetries. ⺠The system is reduced to a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. ⺠Some physically important exact solutions are derived.
