Abstract
⺠Multiple scales are presented for nonlinear systems of difference equations. ⺠Approximations of first integrals are constructed on long iteration-scales. ⺠All invariance factors have to satisfy a functional equation. ⺠The method is applied to a Van der Pol equation, and a Rayleigh equation.
