Abstract
Organic-functionalized molecular sieves silicoaluminophosphates with AFI and AEL topologies have been first hydrothermally synthesized by using 1,4-bis(triethoxysilyl) benzene (BTEB) as unique silicon source. Various techniques have been performed to characterize the structures of the two molecular sieves. Powder XRD, solid-state 13C CP/MAS NMR, FT-IR, UV–vis, and TGA analysis prove that there are aromatic groups in the final products, and 29Si MAS NMR spectra demonstrate that two types of 29Si chemical environments, i.e. organic T-type and inorganic Q-type silicon, coexist in the structures. The contents of organic groups are determined to be high up to 12 wt%.
