Abstract
MoS2 and C60 as two noble-metal-free cocatalysts were hybridized for the first time via a facile and eco-friendly solid-state mechanochemical route, affording a novel van der Waals heterostructure of 2D TMD and 0D fullerene. MoS2-C60 hybrid shows a visible light photocatalytic H2 production rate of 6.89 mmol hâ1 gâ1 in the presence of a photosensitizer Eosin Y, which is significantly enhanced relative to those of the bulk MoS2 and pristine C60, revealing the synergistic enhancement of their photocatalytic activities.423
