Abstract
MoS2 nano-cocoons supported on Mo substrates have been fabricated by thermal oxidation of Mo foils, followed by sulfurization under hydrothermal conditions. As-prepared nano-cocoons consist of vertically-aligned ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets with preferentially exposed edges and rich surface defects, and exhibit remarkable electrocatalytic performance for the hydrogen evolution reaction.277
