Abstract
The second part of the present work discusses the potential of alternative energy sources, including hydrogen-based energy, to succeed in Poland, in the context of the current energy industry based on conventional, non-renewable sources. Market trends and economic factors that may influence the Polish energy market were evaluated as part of a PEST analysis, which focuses on political, economic, social, and technological factors. The region which was given particular consideration was MaÅopolska, since the present work concerns mainly the prospects of a company that intends to start operation on the local market involving fuel cells designed for stationary applications (efficient high-temperature solid oxide fuel cells).
