Abstract
Modification of carbide slag by propionic acid enhances its CO2 capture capacity in hydrogen production process. Also, the activity decay of modified carbide slag is slower than that of raw carbide slag. The pores in 20-100 nm in diameter, which had been proved to be more effective to capture CO2, were significantly improved by modification with propionic acid. That is the major reason why modification of carbide slag by propionic acid can enhance its CO2 capture capacity.
