Abstract
A scalable, top-down process creating Pd43Ni10Cu27P20 (Pd-BMG) nanowires displays high catalytic activity toward methanol and ethanol oxidation without the susceptibility to CO poisoning typically associated with conventional electrocatalysts. These studies also reveal the Pd-BMGs have higher intrinsic activities and lower activation energies for those electrochemical reactions than Pd flat electrodes.
