Abstract
The chromatographic technique with the single pellet-string arrangement of the column (SPSC) was used for determination of effective diffusion coefficients and/or transport characteristics of peculiarly shaped porous materials. The applicability of the interpolation equation (based on geometric properties of tested porous materials), which allows estimation of axial dispersion (Bodenstein numbers), was verified. The obtained transport characteristics were compared with results from steady-state binary/multicomponent gas counter-current diffusion.
