Abstract
► We investigate H2 production from large hydraulic plant (14 GW) by water electrolysis. ► We consider H2 conversion in chemical reactors to produce methane. ► We use O2 for biomass gasification to produce syngas. ► We consider integration of H2 with syngas produced with biomass for CH4 synthesis. ► We find plants optimal size using a time-dependent thermo-economic approach.
