Abstract
► A two-phase and transient model for dead-ended anode fuel cell has been developed. ► Lifetime simulation is performed on a DEA cell with the effect of carbon corrosion. ► A target range of purge interval is defined in which the maximum efficiency lies. ► Optimization of purge interval and cycle duration increases lifetime efficiency.
