Abstract
⺠Molecular solvents are investigated as solvents for the Bunsen reaction. ⺠DBBP and Cyanex® 923 both perform as well as or better than TBP. ⺠Thermal recovery of HI from DBBP not possible due to solvent degradation. ⺠Partial success recovering HI from Cyanex® 923 thermally and backwashing with water.
