Abstract
► Bi-fuel internal combustion engine vehicles can stimulate the hydrogen energy market. ► Conversion to bi-fuel (hydrogen-gasoline) operation is technically feasible and cheap. ► Changes included a storage system, hydrogen injectors and the electronic control unit. ► Change of fuel is very simple and does not require stopping the car. ► Road tests gave an estimated consumption of 1 kg of hydrogen per 100 km at 90 km/h.
