Abstract
► Al improved the alloy cyclic stability. ► Addition of B reduced the alloy capacity retention rate. ► Pd improved both the initial discharge capacity and cyclic stability of the alloy. ► Fe increased the corrosion resistance without degrading the capacity retention rate. ► The hydroxide barrier layer in the presence of Al was predicted to be more porous.
