Abstract
► C-supported Co-B nanoparticles films synthesized PLD was used as catalysts for H2 production by hydrolysis AB. ► Co-B/C catalyst film showed significantly higher activity than unsupported Co-B film and powder. ► C-support provides high initial surface area, better dispersion and tolerance against aggregation of Co-B nanoparticles. ► Co-B/C-film is manifested by the very high H2 generation rate (∼13,500 ml H2 min−1 (g of Co)−1) from the hydrolysis of AB.
