Abstract
The effects of iron addition on the hydriding properties of Mg6Pd were investigated. It was found that 15Â min of co-milling Mg6Pd and Fe in a high energy mill was sufficient to improve the sorption kinetics. Rietveld refinement of neutron powder diffraction patterns indicated that the presence of iron drastically modifies the system's micro-structure. AÂ possible link between structure and hydrogen storage properties is discussed.
