Abstract
Polycrystalline samples of the Heusler compound, Au2PrIn, were synthesized using arc-melting techniques. Powder X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy methods were used to optimize synthesis of polycrystalline Au2PrIn. Secondary and backscatter electron images showed that nitric acid could be used to remove small amounts of gold-rich impurities.128
