Abstract
The catalytic decarbonylative coupling of phthalimides with diorganozinc reagents has been demonstrated utilizing Ni(0) catalysts. The use of electron deficient nitrogen substitution results in efficient formation of o-substituted benzamides with up to 10 catalyst turnovers.92
